Ιώβ 4
- 1 Τότε Ελιφάς ο Θαιμανίτης απεκρίθη και είπεν·
- 2 Εάν επιχειρισθώμεν να λαλήσωμεν προς σε, θέλεις δυσαρεστηθή; αλλά τις δύναται να κρατηθή από του να ομιλήση;
- 3 Ιδού, συ ενουθέτησας πολλούς· και χείρας αδυνάτους ενίσχυσας.
- 4 Οι λόγοι σου υπεστήριξαν τους κλονιζομένους, και γόνατα κάμπτοντα ενεδυνάμωσας.
- 5 Τώρα δε ήλθεν επί σε τούτο, και βαρυθυμείς· σε εγγίζει, και ταράττεσαι.
- 6 Ο φόβος σου δεν είναι το θάρρος σου, και η ευθύτης των οδών σου η ελπίς σου;
- 7 Ενθυμήθητι, παρακαλώ· τις αθώος ων απωλέσθη; και που εξωλοθρεύθησαν οι ευθείς;
- 17 Ο άνθρωπος θέλει είσθαι δικαιότερος του Θεού; θέλει είσθαι ο άνθρωπος καθαρώτερος του Ποιητού αυτού;
- 18 Ιδού, αυτός δεν εμπιστεύεται εις τους δούλους αυτού, και εν τοις αγγέλοις αυτού βλέπει ελάττωμα·
- 19 πόσω μάλλον εις τους κατοικούντας οικίας πηλίνας, αίτινες έχουσι το θεμέλιον αυτών εν τω χώματι και αφανίζονται έμπροσθεν του σαρακίου;
- 20 Από πρωΐ έως εσπέρας φθείρονται· χωρίς να νοήση τις, αφανίζονται διά παντός.
- 21 Το μεγαλείον αυτών το εν αυτοίς δεν παρέρχεται; Αποθνήσκουσιν, αλλ' ουχί εν σοφία.

Greek Modern (moderngreek - 1.0.3)
2012-07-12Greek Modern (el)
This translation started in 1831 and was published in 1850 by the Orthodox Archimandrite and professor of the National University of Athens, Neophytos Vamvas with the help of other researchers. Considering that the Greek Orthodox Church wouldn't support him, he collaborated with the British and Foreign Bible Society to publish this translation.
The text is written in "kathareuousa", a form of greek that is not spoken today in Greece. It is closer to spoken greek though, than the Septuagint (also known "translation of the seventy").- Encoding: UTF-8

Basic Hash Usage Explained
At getBible, we've established a robust system to keep our API synchronized with the Crosswire project's modules. Let me explain how this integration works in simple terms.
We source our Bible text directly from the Crosswire modules. To monitor any updates, we generate "hash values" for each chapter, book, and translation. These hash values serve as unique identifiers that change only when the underlying content changes, thereby ensuring a tight integration between getBible and the Crosswire modules.
Every month, an automated process runs for approximately three hours. During this window, we fetch the latest Bible text from the Crosswire modules. Subsequently, we compare the new hash values and the text with the previous ones. Any detected changes trigger updates to both our official getBible hash repository and the Bible API for all affected translations. This system has been operating seamlessly for several years.
Once the updates are complete, any application utilizing our Bible API should monitor the hash values at the chapter, book, or translation level. Spotting a change in these values indicates that they should update their respective systems.
Hash values can change due to various reasons, including textual corrections like adding omitted verses, rectifying spelling errors, or addressing any discrepancies flagged by the publishers maintaining the modules at Crosswire.
The Crosswire initiative, also known as the SWORD Project, is the "source of truth" for getBible. Any modifications in the Crosswire modules get reflected in our API within days, ensuring our users access the most precise and current Bible text. We pledge to uphold this standard as long as getBible exists and our build scripts remain operational.
We're united in our mission to preserve the integrity and authenticity of the Bible text. If you have questions or require additional information, please use our support system. We're here to assist and will respond promptly.
Thank you for your understanding and for being an integral part of the getBible community.
